The US has enough fire power in the Middle East to bomb Iraq into oblivion. Why does Australia need to be there?
Would it not be more profitable for Australia to spend time and energy building relations with our Asian neighbours rather than agravating them by being involved in a war that our Muslim neighbours see as immoral. It would be much more difficult for our Asian neighbours to see us as a friendly nation if Australia should be involved. Indonesia is still struggling with our involvment in East Timor.
Listening to all the arguments it appears it would be better for the world if Saddam is removed from power. If Australia should wish to be involved lets do so from a distance, while keeping the diplomatic door open to our neighbours.
