A few years ago a nutcase 'refugee' accused our boys of war crimes in Afghanistan. Nobody listened. He wrote to politicians & respected journalists. Again nobody listened. Kinder people called him a nutter. Then he did something unthinkable & unforgivable. He held up a cafe in Sydney, taking hostages. The carnage that resulted was simply awful. I did not shed any tears when he was shot. I deplore what he did. But it turns out he may have been right all along. The allegations of war crimes are very real & many decent diggers have put their careers on the line by exposing the truth.

The chooks are now coming out to roost. There needs to be a Royal Commission into legal drug use in the military. Soldiers must not be allowed to use steroids & amphetamines or anything else. Hair and urine tests need to be carried out in the field, if necessary.

Remember we are not like our enemies. We are a civilized society with decent laws. Let's try to uphold those laws and never deify any individual or group that thinks they are above our laws.
