Announcement regards the PASS should be this week and the reaction should speak heaps for the next few months trading environment for NAG's shareprice.

For those who wish, would like to hear thoughts on the reactions to some scenarios:
POSITIVE PASS ANNOUNCEMENT - this should bring on some buying and any surge in volume above 1 mil for the day breaks above the long term volume downtrend. A break above 8.3c on good volume gives good impetus for a sustained run up and helps support the case for the Feb lows being the bottom of the correction.
NEGATIVE PASS ANNOUNCEMENT - a couple of possible reactions. A sell-off below the 5.7c lows has the potential to take NAG's down into the 3.5c area over time. A sell-off that holds tough above the 5.7c lows. This is a good show of strength and provides additional support to the recent Feb lows and the trendline they found support at.

My point here is that it's not just the announcement that should be of interest but also the reaction to the announcement will tell a lot.

What about a NEUTRAL PASS ANNOUNCEMENT Rob?

as in JH have not yet signed any PASS contract until it knows the result of the main tender for the Metro Rail project.

If they win it - as part of the Lend Lease consortium - it will mean they have to find a home for the three projects that involve the safe disposal of PASS - probably in the vicinity of 3 mill tonnes all up.

There is no rush for them to appoint anyone at the moment.
