it seems the Western intervention in the Middle East, be it Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc, had a primary purpose of destabilising the region
these nations will just fall into civil war and whatever economic means they have will be used for the purchase of weapons, etc
how to weaken other nations?
simply set them into a cycle of civil war
