departing the Sth China Sea is not the solution.
Why? Let us ask ourselves why Australia and others are patrolling the international sea lanes there in the first place? If you can honestly answer that question, then you would see how your solution would only make the problem worse.
By the way, just because we call it the South China Sea, don't believe for one moment that the territorial waters in dispute actually belong to China. If you know your geography, you'll know that they are no where near China. They even have claims on Indonesian waters. Their claims are ridiculous, just as their position on many issues are, ie, 'SARS-C-V-2 didn't begin in China, but the US.' There are no limits to China's lies and deceit.
No, leaving China to take what doesn't belong to them would be a huge mistake. Contrarily, the fact that the world has not prevented China from militarizing waters and islands outside their jurisdiction, is enabling them further to take by force what does not belong to them.
