I think you mean 2028 re the WARF license. The kohler report was more recent than 2018 I'm pretty sure.
I'm pretty much at a loss as to what to say to you philby. Your attitude seems to have changed. You said Ross was smart not that long ago and I asked you for an example of that and got crickets chirping. You didn't want to be involved in shareholder activity.
Maybe WARF reclaiming the licence might be a good thing - if they throw it into the public domain it might have more of an accelerating effect than trying to make money out of it.
Its actually almost as scary to me that enabling technology goes absolutely nowhere for huge amounts of time because do-nothing drongos are entrusted with commercialising it and so nothing happens. Perhaps if any and every competent researchers in academia or elsewhere had free access to it something might actually be productively done with it. It could be used as a cell ruler. Absolutely anyone could then have a standard set of cells to compare their own innovations and modifications against. Socialising the stuff rather than privatising it via dills might actually see humankind benefit.
