    Hi All,

More evidence that things continue to heat up in the Grants Mineral Belt of New Mexico. Please see below an article from James Finch that addresses some of the activity taking place in New Mexico by some of the Uranium mining companies and a comment by Chris Shaw, FNArena.com Business Reporter, about UKL.

Also find below a map that identifies the locations of these Companies and UKL.

    Cheers,

//Uranium King (UKL) has targeted the US and is developing a heap leach project in Nevada, where a scoping study is expected to be completed in the June quarter. With exploration prospects in New Mexico as well, the company appears well leveraged to the uranium price if it can fast track any of its prospects.

//One widely watched industry development is Strathmore Minerals’ exclusivity agreement with a Fortune Global 500 company. From what we understand, the due diligence is in progress regarding the development of the company’s Roca Honda project and the construction of a uranium mill in the Grants Mineral Belt of New Mexico. Also in the Grants area, independent consulting firm Behre Dolbear & Company affirmed that six properties held by Uranium Resources hold 91.7 million pounds U3O8. One of those properties is also in the Roca Honda area; all six are in the Grants Mineral Belt.

New Mexico continues to heat up as privately held Neutron Energy was issued a permit to drill five holes near Ambrosia Lake. This is the third drill permit issued over the past twelve months in the state of New Mexico. Laramide Resources recently completed drilling in the Lara Jara Mesa area, reporting encouraging results. In a March 21st news release, the company announced, “Currently Laramide is investigating options on how the (La Jara Mesa) project may be permitted and advanced to a production decision, including discussions with other parties to explore the possibility of a new, regional mill facility in the Grant's District. We believe the potential of New Mexico may be underappreciated by the market…”

To date, New Mexico has been largely ignored by investors based upon various geographical misperceptions – mostly the wide difference in sentiment between Cibola and McKinley counties in the Grants Mineral Belt. Investors have not yet realized the political climate has shifted in New Mexico.

  2. Homestake Assets USA

In November of 2005 Laramide Resources completed the acquisition of Homestake’s uranium portfolio in the western United States, Homestake being a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corporation.

Homestake was a significant US uranium producer from the 1950's to the late 1980's. The properties acquired (the La Jara Mesa, Los Ochos, Melrich and La Sal properties) were kept in good standing by Homestake throughout the long bear market for uranium which has now ended. The properties are located in the Colorado Plateau in Colorado and Utah and in the Grants District of New Mexico. The La Jara Mesa property located in Cibola County, New Mexico is the most significant property in the portfolio.

La Jara Mesa uranium project is a sandstone hosted roll front style deposit located within the former producing Grants Uranium District within the San Mateo Mountains of southern New Mexico, USA.

The mineralization occurs over thicknesses of 2 to 3meters within a sandstone unit 200 meters below the top of the Mesa. Underground access could be obtained by an adit into the wall of the Mesa. The project has a resource of 3.2 M lbs @ 0.20% U3O8. It is likely with further exploration that this resource could be increased. Mineralization is known from 4 horizons within the Poison Canyon unit of the Morrison Formation. Much of the previous exploration has focused on the bottom two sandstone units of this formation.

Homestake Mining Company completed extensive work between 1981 and 1983 which included drilling 508 rotary holes 18 diamond holes, metallurgical test work and initial mine planning. They concluded that the deposit could be processed at their nearby mill. The mineralization showed good metallurgical recoveries averaging approximately 90%. Homestake did not proceed with production due to the collapse of the uranium price in the mid 1980’s and the closing of their mill.

Previous to Homestake holding the project, approximately 157 drill holes were completed.
