Perhaps they should have a got a life ban of non-selection like Greg Dyer did after the infamous non-catch, he was not banned, he was just never selected ever again even for his state side New South Wales.

So for Warner, Smith, Bancroft, even perhaps Lyon, the "injured" Starc and Hazlewood does not matter if their bans do not get reduced or put through, the selectors will just not select them like they did to Greg Dyer.
