When did the accurate world surface temperature start?
How is it that a fear of a new ice age hit the world headlines for a long time with the world tabloids in the late 60's and early 70's ???
Have any of you posters seen the research on the Global scale tree ring data ... after all, the research highlights the global warming and cooling for a far greater period than is available from the "modern era temperature measurements" ..meaning the last 100yrs.
Tree ring data globally does not lie...nor does the the Cretaceous period in terms of late geology interpretations of the sea covering most of northern Qld due to a global warming event over a long time period.
If you are a Christian or other faith, then, you would need to consider the reasons for the great flood..worldwide..remember...Noahs Ark?.. not that long ago...in Geo terms.
Was it crap or was it localised..did Noah really shove a pair of every animal on his boat?? ..I highly doubt it!
However, there may have been a global warming event that caused flooding and localised in Noahs area ..what was it??
Was it the Early to late cretaceous flooding? If so what caused it???
Was it an asteroid hit? Was it a natural cyclical (millenium) event? Was it Noahs flock farting too much ?
Was it a regular Solar event with a larger frequency?
As you all must know,as astute advocates of the sciences...the Max Solar activity cycle is about to blow on us big time ..google the Solar high activity events and consequences over the last 100 yrs of records.
Even though we had a minimum solar activity level a few years ago,where people were worried about the end of the world.
Is the Sun about to blow?Is this why we have high temperatures in Aus today ..not bloody likley!
Are we all about to be blown away (by the sun)?..none of you will definately know in your lifetime..you all have NFY ..just like me.
So why don't you all go back and review the Geo formations on the Planet..including the bleeding obvious..the coal seams..how did they happen and how did they form???
Bloody obvious..isn't it! ..no human intervention in those days ..blame the Dinosaurs or the intermittent hit from an Asteroid.
Show me evidence of global warming that correlate with the tree ring data over the last 500 yrs and the Geo evidence up to the Cretaceous Era formations Globally and if you ( Et Al) prove you know more than the Earth formation records ,then I will gladly join your .. Greenie orientated task force ..The Geo/Solar/pre Cretaceous History is against all you modern aged,pink/green eyed wonderkiund...The World may blow up in your face when you least expect it!!
Maybe that is why humans have this inane and expensive curiousity to delve into other celestial survival considerations in the future.. maybe it's a celestial gene thing?
Fans of Star Wars and other Sci Fi or NASA forward thinking may actually concur with most posters here!
