    I would also like to clear up some misconceptions about the term "cash is king".

    History has shown that being in cash in tough times is not the best option. Money is after all paper/plastic and having plenty of it doesn't mean that you are rich or are living better than someone without as much. Just ask someone in Zimbabwe where Billions are needed to buy a loaf of bread if you are lucky enough to find a loaf.

    Just ask some cashed up Australians how they felt when their dollar fell 15% in 48 hours.

    Good quality assets are far better to own than money, so gold and other precious metals, quality properties, quality shares etc etc beat money any day hands down.
