The issue with CFD's is that 95% of people don't know how to manage their position sizes. They will have a plan and say I will do "x" but then they will do "y" most tend to chase losses, increases position sizes when their trade does not go their way. I have traded OIL in CFD's the stress in short term is not worth it unless you have some sort of crystal ball or can validate your position with a % that you have a statistical edge due to your back testing analysis.
But I agree long term will be to choose FUEL or a few Energy companies.
