Rohan goes into this in more detail in the conference call. When you are mining you check what your mining should be producing based on the ore at the front of the drive(s). This is done to make sure your guys are not missing the ore veins and/or diluting the ore with too much waste rock. If your guys are good this will match up well with what gets to the mill. At 98% this suggests the contractor guys doing the mining are pretty good.
At the same time you should be checking that the ore grade coming out of the mine matches up to estimate modelled as the reserve by the competent person. At 85% this suggests the CP who created the reserve estimate was not very good. That the same CP also modelled GCY reserves causes me concern.
