Sorry to disapoint, but as I said, if you cut and paste you go to the correct site, ie at westpac.com.au, , so the address shown is a real one within westpacs site, if however you click on it in HTML format, then the browser will be diverted to a site using the http address (ie numbers only), which can then load up and looks exactly as a wbc site. BTW my Hotcopper view of that post is not Html enabled, so the only way of navigating it is with a cut and paste- so I went to the real site- as did anyone else who used cut and paste.

So yes it is a scam, but by using copy and paste, as I had too you do go to the real site, only Yak would be fooled because of the html fast click on the email, for info see

They cannot avoid the numbers coming up when redirecting you - if you are on
cable you are gonna have to pay attention though because the number of the site will only flash up for a second.

You will notice that the do not say that they dont send emails out - quite the contrary - time they changed their giudelines perhaps.
