    For your information the 11TCF was estimated by detemining the volume of coal using seismic (pretty simple
    and reasonably accurate) and the amount of gas per cubic metre from samples obtained with the drill bit,
    The problem with Jaws is that the coal is deep and therefore under more pressure - causing the coal the
    flow and thus close the cracks created by fracking.

    From they seismic they came up a theory that the layers above the coal seam formed an arch and thus the pressure on the coal might be lower than what would calculated using simple statics. After the initial gas surge and all of
    the sand flowing back into the borehole, my thinking is that all of the cracks closed up.

    Was Jaws worth spending money on? With an 11TCF prize if successful my vote with my hard earned was "You betcha"

    Too bad that it didn't work out but you can't win them all..
