    Paytm doesn't give out micro loans.
    Different business, it only allows people to make payments by scanning a barcode/enter the merchant id.
    Even consumers can split the cost of a meal easily as every consumer has a barcode.

    Basically it is a mobile wallet which connects to one or many debit/credit cards.
