Gogo1, all that Tony Abbott has proven with MH17 is that HE is a political opportunist who will milk any opportunity whatsoever for his own political gain. It provided HIM with an opportunity to escape blame for his rotten budget and to soften his dreadful image as uncaring for mainstream Australians.

As with MH370, wherein Abbott told us soon after Australia became involved in the search that it had been found, now a month after MH17 HE still has NO proof whatsoever to back up the self-serving allegations HE made against Vladimir Putin. If it existed the one thing we can be sure of is that blabbermouth Abbott would have told us all about it but thus far all we have is circumstantial evidence that may even have been fabricated by Ukraine itself and as alleged by Russia.

Indeed, Abbott can't even demonstrate that the Ukraine did anything other than exploit him as a gullible fool by ramping up its attacks on the separatist rebels while the rebels actually wound back operations to allow MH17 recovery operations.

Why Abbott never publicised that HE had all but deployed some 2,000 Australian military personnel into that escalating civil war zone remains the stuff of a subsequent RC into his irresponsible war-mongering.
