Hi Datz, I came across two articles worth a read.
The first one was written in 2007 and gives a breakdown of the WA energy market and cost projections.

The second report one was written in April 2011 and gives a breakdown of the WA gas market.
There's a lot of info but the second report states:
"The log normal 80 per cent confidence interval for spot gas commodity cost would range from $4.60 to $12.20 per GJ, with a log normal mode of $6.50 per GJ."
IMO, the reports give a better understanding about the WA energy situation, the role of gas and Alcoa's position.
