Treggs, no doubt you're correct, I'm only trying to rationalise the cards in my hand :) However, I reckon it shows their hand a little. The next thing is for these emergency rules to be widened and extended eg reinstatement of the uptick rule - recall that was abolished just before the market went to hell - what coincidental timing. They also stopped reporting M3, when - just before the USD fell through the chasm in the floor.
