I can understand LT holders feeling frustrated, especially if shares were purchased towards the top of a price cycle but if you look at the five year charts of the big four, every single one is trading lower today than five years ago.
In fact NAB is probably doing better than most of the pthers if you look at those five year charts although they are all fairly similar. The secret with these suckers like most blue chip stocks is to not get sucked into buying when sentiment is strong. Just recently in NAB Buying at $26 or $27 can kill you but buying at $22 or $24 gives you the scope to make a few bucks on the SP as well as collect the yield.
I don't mean to sound patronising I'm sure everyone here knows the game but even the most experienced heads need a reminder now and then to play the odds and NAB is a perfect example of a stock that can deliver if you are prepared to buy when sentiment is poor.
