I agree with you except for the assumption bit. You and I will be dead in no time and we have to make a call based on who we are and what we have absorbed as knowledge and influence.
There's nothing to wait for in what remains of our lives. You say don't assume and I say it's my right to make a call based all the input pf all data.
Either way it makes little difference. If there's something after death, that's nice. If there's nothing after death, that's nice.
I'm not sure why you feel it is necessary not to assume, it's our super power.
