I also could not understand how adults could go along with much of the stuff dished up by the religious.
Even today and on this forum I see the religious claim with certainty that they know and understand the nature of God.
We all appear to cherry-pick scripture to suit what we think is true or what we think the Bible says.
I'm also amused by those who claim to know what I believe as an atheist; claims that are mostly off the mark.
