A question is does scripture support the idea of a Trinity?
It is true that the word trinity is not used but I think that the idea is strongly supported. Note I'm not addressing the question of whether the idea of a Trinity has any merit, only that it is reasonable to infer that the concept is implied in scripture.
Here we go with an example!
John 1:14
14 The Word became fleshA)'> and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,B)'> the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of graceC)'> and truth.
The Word refers to Jesus.
And...
1 John 5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
