Looking at the drilling map of PB2 I think they may have drilled too close to the fault and this was proved as they got deeper down the well. Given the large gas finds at the top of the well, it was prudent to pull out, develop these, and then look at drilling the deeper targets, from a location not so near the fault at a later date. Drilling shallower wells on the discovered field in the meantime would be far more profitable in the short term and funding should be readily available.
