    I think we have blown it on harvey norman gift vouchers (the $900 payout to all tax payers), all those expensive school halls, pink batts and a whole lot of other things.

    Now vital instructure is being destroyed in 100s of flood ravaged towns around australia and we don't have any money in the kitty.

    I guess it just means we will have to go into debt and borrow.

    However we are now finding that Labor's spend, spend, borrow, borrow type policies don't work. Eventually the chickens must come home to roost. Governments are finding that despite being able to print money and spend on boondoogling schemes, they can still go broke.
    a couple of months ago Greece had gone down, Ireland looked close to needing a bailout and today there is talk that Portugal may need money.

    there is no question that Labor will damage our economy. That is a given. The question rather is how much damage will it do.
