as had already been said quite a few times before in days past, BIG infrastructure projects require a lot of time to identify, plan, and start.
There were in Labor's election platform too.
If you know of a quick way for the government to do it, please share that knowledge. If the government has committed itself to billions of dollars on BIG infrastructure projects within months of attaining office, there would have been loud cries of being economically reckless in not taking its time to asess and evaluate such BIG projects.

The economic objectives of that $42b package had been explained many times before by posters here and by government ministers, had you not been following what had been going on ?
