Obama has showed enough confidence in his stimulus package to actually come out and announce he will halve the deficit within his own term of office.

Will Mr Rudd back up his plan by offering such a statement to those backing him up and calling for a deficit as being a necessary outcome. Best not to hold my breath i think.
