WA's wet weather, page-40

Mate, there aint no alternative routes for our trucks. All gravel ( and that's what they are) roads around about couldn't handle our trucks on a good day, let alone now. As a local, thankfully the harvest is largely in. The road (hwy) is closed at the Jettacutup crossing and damage is limited to bridge approaches, I believe. West to Albany, the Phillips River bridge is half gone, but till the water runs away, they cant start to fix it. Will take months. As the worm turns, its seems fortunate that our team chose ESP over ALH to deport from. The road east from Galaxy to Esperance will be open much sooner than the road west from Ravie' will be. Lucky us.

Still wish I didn't work 16 hrs a day killing it, but I wish I could sorta commando gear out round the mine site to see what 128 ml of rain does to our hopes. Out there it usually drains away with topography, but we are digging holes, and mine fill up with water when it rains.
