As a postscript to the above, although Tullow hold a greater oil reserves than Cairn, the Tullow SP has performed a lot worse than Cairn in the drop of the POO, reason is Tullow holds massive debt (hence TO rumors) while Cairn has ~$725m cash, in these times cash is king, however Cairn has the I-T department circling for approx. $US1.5b in back taxes!!! so both companies are kinda in the same boat admittedly for differing reasons.
