    a recessions is a significant decline in economic growth that lasts for two or more quarters...

    and a recession is measured in the billions of dollars - the same unit as daily declines in the stock market are measured by

    so then what should we call a significant decline in the DOW and S&P that lasts for two or more days if the same amounts are involved - namely billions of dollars?

    a financial recession?
