marc faber of the Doom Gloom Boom report said just the same on lateline about 3 to 4 months ago - he also said the same for the UK - an english mate of mine has been back there and says the UK is *tuffed right now - property prices falling through the floor - pessimism everywhere - even companies like Wilson Parking are going out of business because people aren't driving their cars enough - ouch - look for stocks in the corner store...
wink's idea of a two year lag for Aus sounds about right
and faber's record on these things speaks for itself
