Surely in your intensive unbiased search for knowledge you at least get to the first line of an article - no wait a minute clearly you didn't so just to enlighten you.

"The Bureau of Meteorology has confirmed 2013 as Australia’s hottest year SINCE RECORDS BEGAN IN 1910."

So if, as you maintain, in Australia "RECORDS BEGAN IN 1910" - how can NOAA suddenly produce global records going back another 30 years?
