wasting shareholders money

    I'm in hundreds of different stocks (mostly one share) and recently advised ComputerShare (via my broker) of a change of address. They thoughtfully sent me a separate letter for each stock I own (about 600 with them.) Apart from being an incredible waste of paper (of course I just threw them all in the bin), at 60c each (not counting ink and paper) that would cost $360 in stamps!! Is this some sort of legal requirement or are they just squandering shareholder's funds?
