Had another listen to the latest TEX brr. Amazing how Laurence has kept the 'buffalo' project so low key. we know its fraccing the south texas shale area, but there's been little backgound on the area, a more specific location, the potential of the area etc. I have been researching the south texas shale area, and I think/hope its in the Eagle Ford shale area.
In regards to the area's potential I read this..
'The Eagle Ford Shale play in South Texas could be one of the largest domestic crude oil and natural gas discoveries in more than 40 years.' 17/3/11 - business journal
and this....
'The Eagle Ford Shale is a shale rock formation located in multiple counties in South Texas. It underlies the Austin Chalk and the Edwards limestone formation is just below it. It is considered by geologists to be the "source rock," or the original source of hydrocarbons (oil and gas) that are now found in the Austin Chalk above it. Industry leaders have been quoted as saying that it has the "perfect mineralogical makeup for a shale play" and one of the world's largest oil & gas companies has already called it the sixth largest domestic oil discovery in the U.S. history.' 17/3/11 - Stockmarket review
more....
'There's little open acreage left in the Eagle Ford, ?but there are opportunities for infill wells,? Hovey said. And companies looking to invest still have a chance to get involved.
?There are still some undercapitalized leaseholders looking for capital.? In the coming months, she expects the most activity to come from joint-venture partnerships.
And as oil nears $100 a barrel, conditions are favorable for stronger profit margins, as the breakeven point for producing a barrel of oil in the Eagle Ford is $47.25, according Champion Technologies, a chemical company that sells products to drilling companies.' 23/2/11 - mySA
Ok this may not be our area. But if it is, why not state it in the last project update? Surely this would get the punters excited. Surely it would get the SP moving. IMHO I've found LR to be very secretive about this one. Not exactly what I would call good investor communications.
But boy wouldn't it be good for those who know more than you and me. SP of late definitely points this way.
Anyhow, news for the Buffalo and Wolfberry projects should state to flow in this quarter, so anyone looking at the SP and thinking it's too hot and must cool soon, IMHO think again.
