Yes, PCE did go quiet for years (four years?) rolling over in it's sleep to build the King Island installation before losing staff and going back to sleep.
However the settlement of the long-running canker of the damaging overlap of interests contained in the previous structure of PCE owning the patents but the share register and management being dominated by VRB Power Systems in Canada was fixed back in April when the patents were distributed between PCE and VRB according to their spheres of influence, debt settled and management teams separated.
The recent announcement of major new funding initiatives yielding over $4M heralded the start of a new phase. What this new era holds we don't know however PCE now has/has access to sufficient funds to sell, install and warranty a large number of small 5-10kW units or a couple of larger MW scale units over the next year.
The latest post by Belrose on Stockhouse VRB bb http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=10331365&t=0&all=0&TableID=0 gives another chunk of the missing puzzle.
Most readers here will know of Belrose's deep knowledge of things PCE. He now says that:
"I've seen the prototypes
I've seen the factory
I've seen the research facility
I've seen the Ops Director and his staff (all but one of them)
I've seen the VRB Power management team and you know what . . . .
I give them a truck load more credibility than anyone who posts here with so called "facts". Belrose has pointed out time and time again . This is an industrial market with industrial timescales. many will know me as a long term and significant holder of VRB technology stock . . . . well guess what . . . I remain stupendously CONFIDENT. "
I interpret this to mean that VRB Power Systems in Canada (the only manufacturer of commercial vrb's outside Japan) can now, or very soon will be able to, deliver batteries when ordered.
Do your research into VRB Power Systems, look at Pinnacle's Preliminary Report released on 13/09/2005 and see if what is happening is reasonable and hopeful for developing PCE into a capable seller and installer of large flow batteries.
