Note too this research is more than two years old now, and will already have advanced considerably further.

Vulcan has gone about direct lithium extraction from geothermal brines by acquiring specialist small research and technical operators who at the forefront of geothermal extraction technology. I wouldn’t be surprised to see PRL announcements in due course about having brought onboard (or acquired) similar specialists in hydrogen from seawater. The hydrogen sector may be a new frontier, but much of the science behind it is already established or well along the track.

Incidentally, while they’re at it, perhaps PRL can extract the lithium from the seawater too in a $$$eparate Carnarvon joint venture...
