Came across this earlier - IMHO looks like Amex has gone another route with their own setup and where they are more in control whilst collecting a fee in the process...
I know its not new to amex in US but seems new here in AU.
My intention is not to promote Amex or its membership benifits - just not seeing anything out there to support talk of SPT connecting with Amex at this time. And just like you I would love when / if that does happen. I look forward to being corrected.
