The question is do you have a business model that ignores that and goes for it, and in some ways sets up a whole new stand alone system?... or do you acknowledge the system exists and work out a way to integrate and leverage off it. The overly simple analogy is wether this is an 'individual marathon' or a 'team relay'. The marathon in BNPL terms is all about going it alone. APT / ZiP etal have produced their stand alone product and focussed on marketing and sales to underpin the land grab for customers. These companies produce the stand-alone product, don't concern themselves with the rest of the system, head out in front early because you dont have to worry or wait for anyone else in the system...you just launch and go and aim for the finish line! SPT is the team relay. It has decided to integrate BNPL into an existing system of doing things, to provide another option for the way things can be done within teh existing system. But from personal professional experience this is more difficult. To win relies on others. It relies on the acceptance of your offer by otehrs in teh system. To get this means they need to test what you've got to offer, can it work in their system. These team mates want to know its good for their business, not just for yours. They worry about their reputation, not yours. Then, if this does seem to be something that could be good for them after testng and testing (read Visa / Mastercard), they dont want you running off and getting all the kudos or claiming all the credit in the marketplace by announcing that somehow this success is yours. Then when they do agree announce something, be sure to do it together or there will be trouble! Winning this relay needs to be celebrated and recognised for the entire team, not just the one who carries the baton over the line. And given you rely on all these other to get that baton to the line, best not piss them off! This bad analogy is what makes SPT unique. It also makes them slower and it also makes them more silent, because they have others in their relay team they need to look after otherwise they will not get this over the line. So,....that is why I stay. Because I am someone who owned Z1P and APT but pulled out recenlty and came here. I think APT and ZiP will have run their marathon and our relay will in fact just keep doing lap after lap!! I am crazy enough to think that APT and Z1P may not last because in the end it will have no team mates......but SPT...just maybe?!! EB

I can sum up your essay in a sentence - Apt and Z1p scale easily while Spt doesn't. Zzzzz You make it sounds like Apt and Z1p don't require integration which clearly isn't the case. The reason for Spt being so slow is more likely due to its shit tech. Look at Google Jp now, Pixel 5 is sold out before Spt went live lolol. What is the point of keep hiring marketing people when you need months to get a single merchant on board? Spt doesn't even have a mobile app like other bnpl players. Their IT people in Israel are like doing nothing. Apparently Brad is just a sale and marketing person who doesn't know shit about tech. Time to focus more on tech Brad, or this won't go anywhere.
