You could make up your 30-40% (assumed) loss on SPT elsewhere in the ST and come back after EOFY and buy SPT back and start "again" (probably at a lower price then what we see today).....if you really wanted.
The opportunity cost of cutting one's losses and making this up elsewhere in the ST and then potentially scooping up "cheap" SPT shares is too great IMO.
