This deal is just so that Union Pay is accepted at SPT merchants. SPT currently has a lack of merchants. Union Pay is big in China/Asia. John has said they are narrowing their focus to US/UK. So if they're not chasing merchants that will likely be used by Union Pay cardholders then I wouldn't expect significant revenue out of this deal in the short term.
