Paythen only works with stripe. Its competition with splitit starts and ends there. Its only those stripe merchants looking for a BNPL plugin to stripe that any comparison between the companies applies to. Small section of splitits reach total reach.
the interesting point is that other payment companies in the industry by comparing themselves to splitit therefore see splitit as a reputable business and are effectively putting them on a pedestal.
You never compare yourself to the worst person on the team if you are trying to prove yourself against the best...or you never compare yourself to a scam....is the point.
(The Paythen comparison you posted has already appeared here months ago, not sure who the poster was)
As far as the reviews all are a result of the user not understanding what splitit actually did before they used it. ( excluding the bank release funds delay issues)
Anyone who partially understood splitit and read someone labelling splitit as a scam in a review knows for a fact that that is incorrect and therefore that review does nothing to discredit splitit and immediately discredits the poster themselves and thetefore their review. Thise reviews were when splitit was relatively unknown. (A simple google of splitit these days will bring up google & alipay associations so discredits further any claims of scams, so a poor tactic)
A merchant with a stripe account who is deciding between paythen or splitit 100% knows splitit is not a scam as it is offered as a plugin by stripe themselves. (and further knows its not after a google, as above)
It does not add up and therefore those reviews are simply misunderstandings from users and no sinister conspiracy.
Whitelabel solution removes all splitit reviews as its unbranded so they are a thing of the past and going forward not really relevant as a benchmark. The company offering splitit takes the reputational damage if a consumer is unhappy.
IMO.
