Despite it being a bit slow they are testing everything before they execute on a global scale. They tested their advertising campaign over the Christmas holiday season and are happy it works and I am sure this is why so many pilots or tests are happening. Hypothesize --> run the test --validate it works -- Roll out the project.....This takes time to get it right. I take comfort they are taking a cautious and strategic approach.

With relation to the conversation around SPT and Australian retailers I think Brad and the team are more concerned with where they are going to get bang for buck.. And that is Japan.

Some stats below - Japan ecommerce is $150B ( USD I think ) with around 65% being paid via credit card. Australia on the other hand around $30B....i know where I would want them to focus on. A country with little competition and a huge opportunity.

I also checked and the google store website from memory gets around 30 million visits per month - Once that SPT logo goes on that site the amount of free advertising for SPT will be most valuable.

IF SPT got a partnership with JCB (Japanese CC),

then almost Freepass for Rakuten (Japanese Ebay).

this means [JCB + RAKUTEN] could be better than [AMEX + EBAY] deal.

Only got two ticked off for now. but more to come very soon.

a lot of Japs friends or colleagues ard me are very interested in SPT. no kidding.
