rockford, thankyou for finally speaking some sense in this forum. As with any legally binding contract time limits are placed and the bigger partner (Inco) always gets the better deal re time. Inco would have liked to push it out further I'm sure. Big mining companies normally work on 20 year time frames. Heron holders have recieved a beautiful deal on this one. I remeber how I felt azbout this stock after the deal was cemented and just because the sp has dropped a little since I am still feeling good. I am prepared to hold for 6+ years as my holding in this company is my self managed super fund and unlike many resource stocks this company will be turning a nice profit within 5 years with the added bonus of 2 or 3 IPO's
