What would really get them going is finding a farm-in partner for their Olympic Dam tenements.
To me the obvious answer is BHP itself. BHP are currently copping some flak from the green movement over Olympic Dam expansion which is expected to draw 500MW of power ( I think that's about 5 times what it uses now(?) and a huge amount of carbon emissions.
Its been suggested that they use geothermal - would be great pr and potentially huge cost saving. This is a $7 billion project so how about a couple of million for a hole or two Chip?
