I was thinking the same yesterday, at the end of the day we can only join the dots after the event. As the sell off was near the close, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there was an announcement before the open today. It would explain a lot. The big boys knew the ann was being delayed last time and sold down before the announcement was released and there's no reason why it hasn't happened again. If there are a few parties involved in negotiations then the chance of info leaks are higher too I would say.

But again, there has been a lot of speculation over the last 12 hours since the "plunge" and I too have put in my 2 bobs worth, we can assume that all is well but be prepared for anything I say, that way you wont get caught out today.
