They make it pretty easy to short these days to be fair. After all, if all shorters were as bright as they're made out to be we wouldn't have any here! Clearly there are a few dumb ones in the mix
Maybe they're simply miserable though. I often do struggle to understand the motivations of the downrampers who do nothing but spam nonsense.
