Maybe so billyb, but Rudd, nor Keating, ever made me ashamed to be Australian - Howard did several times (1) scuttling the republic against the overwhelming wishes of the majority of Australians because of his personal, pathetic monarchical impulses that admire (and yearn to be) royalty, (2) policies surrounding the 'children overboard' affair that saw this country turn its back on desperate people, and instead, invade a soverign nation on the back of fake information from the least respected leader of the most hated country on Earth.
