I am no gas expert either but from reading the reports GDN management believe that the water source lies about 300' above the gas zone. When they fracced the previous wells either the fracture stimulation fluid diverted upwards to this water source or poor cement allowed the water above to enter into the well.

This well is being drilled for production with smaller casing to get a better cement seal and stop water entering the well. If the theory is right, not only can PB#3 be brought into production but the same principles can be applied to PB#1 and PB#2 with short sidetracks.

So, in other words, if the science is right, all three wells may still be brought into production in a very short timeframe. Of course, we won't know for sure for a few more weeks yet.
