In recent years SHV has had to outlay cash for temporary water rights due to the drought which has impacted on their expenses and therefore their bottom line.
According to the 2009 annual report the permanent water allocations for 2008 was 43% and for 2009 was 38%
Good news on the water rights for 2010 as the allocations as at 15/10/09 was 37%
SHV will get their highest water allocation since 2007 with further rainfalls in the Murray catchment area thus reducing their temporary expenses.
