Country people often pay a small fortune in having drilling to find water to install a bore.
I don't know how many of them seek out a diviner to help the search or just rely on the drillers and the topography.
I was shown once how to use a bit of bent wire to look for underground water. Apparently it's a sensitivity you either have or don't. It turned out I have it.
We have ground water here not a long way down
and I know where it is and where it flows.
So every time we passed over that line the wire dipped and nowhere else. Strange it is but true.
This was a good few years ago during the drought.
We don't need bore water, we're connected to the town supply.
But imagine paying for metres of drilling and not finding anything. But you might call a halt and it's just a few metres further down.
Mysteries that we don't understand but happen.
