Now bear with me Raider but there is a fascinating story behind Siemens filtration that originated in Sydney from research at Uni of NSW. Was commercialised in an Oz company called Memtec that I first bought at $1.65 and held & added for a few years. From memory they were trading around $4.50 when they got a TO offer from US Filter at USD34, ended up getting A$42 a share, nice windfall.

As it turned out US Filter viewed Memtec's membrane tech as a threat to their own and basically shut it down, and I thought it was lost forever.

Ironically searching Siemens website a while back on wind generation I stubbled across the name Memtec and took a peek, sure enough it was membrane filtration and a quick search discovered Siemens had bought US Filter, discovered the tech in the bottom drawer and decided to resurrect it and it became a brand of Siemens.

I note now the name has disappeared again but it looks like the membrane tech is used across a number of different areas as water treatment has been diversified.

    You can read the history:

Can I get lucky again with Ionic, lightning strike twice?

I note Lockheed Martin are pumping a chunk of money into graphene filtration...........
